Let's start with the part nobody wants to say out loud: we are not in Mount Pleasant. Our campus is in Longview, and it is the only one we have. So if you are searching for dental assistant training in Titus County, the honest question isn't "where's the closest school" — it's "is this drive worth what I get at the end of it?" Here is everything you need to answer that for yourself.
The honest answer up front
For some people in Mount Pleasant, the drive is absolutely worth it. For others, it isn't — and we would rather you figure that out now, on a Tuesday, reading a blog post, than six weeks into a program you can't sustain. What separates the two groups usually isn't grit or wanting it badly enough. It is whether the schedule and the miles fit the life you already have: your job, your kids, your car, your gas budget.

The drive, described plainly
Mount Pleasant sits up on I-30 in Titus County. Our campus is at 2800 Gilmer Rd, Suite 106, Longview, TX 75604. The natural route south is US-271, which runs down through Pittsburg and Gilmer before it reaches Longview — roughly an hour of two-lane and small-town driving, give or take, depending on where in town you start and how the traffic through Gilmer is treating you that morning.
That means real things. It means leaving earlier than you think. It means the drive home after a full class day is part of the commitment, not a footnote. It also means you pass through several towns where our students already come from — Pittsburg, Gilmer, Big Sandy — which is worth knowing when you start looking for someone to carpool with.
We will never tell you we have a Mount Pleasant location, a satellite campus, or a "Titus County program." We have one building, in Longview, and everything happens there. If a school ever gets vague with you about where you'd actually be sitting, ask them for the street address before you sign anything.

Here is the other side of the ledger. The program runs about twelve weeks, and we cap every class at eight students. That number is the whole point. In a room of eight, you cannot hide in the back, and you cannot get skipped — every student charts, every student gets hands on real equipment, every student gets looked at by the instructor that day.
You also train on the software side of the job, which is where a lot of new assistants get blindsided. Classes are daytime — plan around that honestly
Our in-person classes meet during the day. That is the single biggest factor for most Titus County students, because it stacks on top of the drive. If you work first shift, an in-person cohort is going to be hard, and we would rather say that now than sell you a seat you'll lose.

Say so. There is a fully online program at a flat $997 that you can start any day, self-paced, from your kitchen table in Mount Pleasant. It is coursework, not hands-on chairside practice, and we will always tell you that plainly — but for some people it is the right first move.
Paying for it from Titus County
In-person tuition is $3,000 paid in full, or $3,500 on a payment plan — $500 down holds your seat, then the $3,000 balance in simple weekly or monthly payments, up to twelve. No surprise fees appear later.
