The 12-week RDA curriculum at a glance

Premier Dental Academy of Longview trains Registered Dental Assistants in about 12 weeks — hands-on, in a classroom built like a working dental office. Across the program, students cover:

• Dental terminology, tooth anatomy & charting (primary and permanent dentition)
• Instruments, tray setups & four-handed dentistry
• Sterilization & infection control
• Radiology basics and the Texas x-ray certification pathway
• Impressions, chairside procedures & patient care
• Practice-management software: scheduling, charts, insurance & claims (PDA Practice Pro)
• Clinical documentation with ChairSide + SmartDoc notes
• Texas RDA exam preparation — infection control, jurisprudence & radiography
• Resume, interview & job-placement preparation

In-person tuition is $3,000 paid in full, or $500 down on a $3,500 payment plan. The self-paced online course is $397 through Friday, Aug 21, 2026 ($997 regular price after) and starts any day. Compare both options →
