The Funding Finder: see what you might qualify for in two minutes
Money is the number one reason people talk themselves out of this career before they ever call us. Not doubt about the work — money. So we built a small free tool that asks five plain questions and shows you which tuition-help paths are worth going and asking about. It doesn't approve anything and it doesn't collect your email. Here is exactly what it does.
What it is — and what it absolutely is not
The Funding Finder is a starting point. You answer five questions, tap a button, and it shows you a short set of cards: the funding routes that make sense to look into given your situation, plus the payment options that are open to everybody.
It is not an application. It is not a pre-approval. It cannot tell you an award amount, and neither can we — eligibility is decided by the programs themselves, not by a school and definitely not by a web page. The tool says as much right on the results screen. We would rather under-promise here than have someone build a plan on a number we made up.
No school can promise you funding. If anyone tells you they've "got you covered" before you have talked to the actual funding office, slow down and ask who is paying and when. Real help has paperwork and a timeline attached to it.

None of these are trick questions, and there are no wrong answers. But it helps to know why we ask, so you answer accurately instead of modestly.
What comes back
Based on your answers, the tool assembles a set of cards. Some appear only if they fit you; others show up for everyone because they're open to everyone.
Texas Workforce Solutions and WIOA. If you're unemployed, working part-time, recently laid off, or on limited income, this is the first card you'll see — and it's the one worth chasing hardest. You apply directly with Workforce Solutions East Texas, not through us. Their process takes time, so the tool tells you plainly to start early rather than waiting until a cohort is a week out. The payment plan. This one shows for everybody, because it always applies: $3,000 paid in full, or $3,500 on a plan — $500 down holds your seat, then the $3,000 balance in simple weekly or monthly payments, up to twelve. Your certificate is issued once tuition is paid in full. If you want to see the actual dates your payments would land on, the tuition planner maps them out.
Sponsor-a-Student. Local businesses can sponsor a seat or part of one. It's free to apply and nothing about you goes public without your say-so. Details on the sponsorship page.
The online route. If the upfront cost is simply too tight right now, the fully online program is a flat $997 and starts any day. It is coursework rather than hands-on chairside training, and we'll always say that out loud — but for some people it's the honest first step.

If you don't have a diploma or GED yet
The tool flags this honestly instead of quietly moving on. Most funding programs and registration paths in Texas ask for a high-school diploma or GED. If you answer no, you'll see a note saying exactly that, plus an invitation to call us. That isn't a brush-off — a GED is a solvable problem with a known path, and it's better to know now than to find out at the finish line.
How to actually use it well
Two minutes on the tool, then one phone call. That's the whole play. The Funding Finder is good at telling you which doors exist; it is not good at opening them. The opening happens when you call Workforce Solutions, or when you call or text (903) 913-6444 and Amanda walks you through what applies to you specifically.
Start early either way. Funding processes run on their own calendar, not on yours, and the next in-person cohorts start September 14, September 29, November 9, and November 17, 2026 — eight seats each. The current list is always on the calendar.
