What the tool actually is

The free practice exam has three levels. The Quick Quiz takes a few minutes and gives you a fast temperature check. The Full Practice Exam is the real workout — exam-style questions across the topics Texas tests, with an explanation after every answer so a wrong guess teaches you something instead of just stinging. The Timed Mock Exam adds the clock and the expanded question bank; it lives inside RDA Exam Pro for people who want full dress-rehearsal conditions.

One thing it is not: the official state exam. Our questions are original practice material written to teach. The official exam comes from the state — for registration requirements and official specifics, the authority is the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Why practice with explanations beats rereading notes

Rereading feels productive and proves nothing. Answering a question you might get wrong — and immediately reading why — is retrieval practice, and it is the fastest honest way to find the gap between "I've seen this" and "I know this." Every question you miss on a free practice run is a question you will not be seeing for the first time on exam day.

How to use it this week

Take the Quick Quiz cold — no studying first. Whatever topic you miss most becomes your study focus for the week. Then take the Full Practice Exam on the weekend and watch the score move. Repeat. That loop is the whole secret.

What the free version tells you (tap each mode)

Here is what each level is for:

When it makes sense to go past free

If your free scores are already strong, save your money and book the test. If a topic will not budge, that is when paid help earns its keep: the Study Pack for cheat sheets and quick-study guides, the Exam-Prep Mini-Course for a structured walkthrough, Exam Pro for the timed mock, and one-on-one state board prep if you want a human on your weak spots. Prices are on each page — no surprises.

If you're not enrolled anywhere yet

You can use every free tool on this site without being our student. But if the practice exam gets you thinking seriously about the career, the fastest way to know if it fits is to stand in the room: real chairs, real instruments, an eight-seat class. Tours are free and nobody pressures you.
