Dental assistant school near Overton, TX: your real options

There's no dental assisting program inside Overton, and there probably never will be — training programs need a steady stream of students, so they cluster in the bigger East Texas hubs. For Overton, the nearest practical option is Longview. Our campus sits at 2800 Gilmer Rd, Suite 106, Longview, TX, on the Gilmer Road side of town.

From Overton you'd run Highway 135 up through Kilgore, then follow the road on into Longview — roughly 25 miles door to door, most days around half an hour. Classes are capped at 8 students and taught by our founder, Amanda Williams, RDA. The whole place is built to work like a real dental office rather than a classroom: real instruments and tray setups, charting practice on an anatomical tooth chart, SOAP notes written the way offices write them, and insurance claims worked the way a front office actually works them. If you want to see it before you decide anything, come tour the campus — plenty of students drive in from smaller towns to look first.

Practices in and around Overton, Arp, Troup, Kilgore, and Henderson don't get a stack of applications every week the way big-city offices do.
