August dental assistant classes in Longview: what's starting soon
If you've been telling yourself "someday," August is offering you two of them. Two in-person classes start at our Longview campus this month — one on August 17, one on August 25 — and both run the same roughly 12-week program. Here's everything you need to pick a date and get moving.
The two August start dates
Monday, August 17 — the Monday/Wednesday/Friday cohort. Three class days a week.
Tuesday, August 25 — the Tuesday/Thursday cohort. Two class days a week.
Both cohorts are in person at our campus at 2800 Gilmer Rd, Suite 106 in Longview, both cover the same curriculum, and both are daytime classes. We publish exact hours by phone rather than online so nobody plans around stale information — call or text (903) 913-6444 and we'll give you the current times for each cohort. MWF or Tue/Thu: how people actually choose
There's no wrong answer — the material is the same. The real question is which rhythm fits your life. The Mon/Wed/Fri cohort spreads the work across three shorter touches, which suits people who like frequent repetition and shorter gaps between classes. The Tue/Thu cohort concentrates it into two days, which tends to suit people juggling work shifts, childcare, or a longer drive — fewer trips to campus, more consolidated class time.

Why the class stays small
Each cohort is capped at 8 students. That's not a marketing flourish — it's how the training works. You learn chairside assisting by doing it with an instructor close enough to correct your hand position, not by watching from row six. Small classes also mean your instructor knows within the first week where you're strong and where you need another rep. The trade-off is honest: when 8 seats are spoken for, the next start date is the option.
What it costs
$3,000 paid in full, or $3,500 on a payment plan — $500 down holds your seat, then the $3,000 balance in simple weekly or monthly payments. No surprises, no fine print. The tuition planner lets you build your exact payment schedule with the same math as checkout.

The path is short: apply (free, takes a few minutes at /apply), talk with us — come see the campus and the equipment, or just call — then enroll at /enroll to lock your seat. Your enrollment paperwork happens electronically on your phone, so day one is about scrubs and learning, not clipboards.

If August feels too soon
That's fine — the fall calendar is already set. After August, in-person cohorts start September 14 (MWF), September 29 (Tue/Thu), November 9 (MWF), and November 17 (Tue/Thu). And if a classroom isn't in the cards at all right now, the online program is self-paced, starts any day, and is $397 right now on a limited-time sale (regularly $997) — with the full amount transferring as credit toward in-person tuition within 90 days if you switch.
But a word from experience: "the next one" has a way of becoming "the one after that." If your gut said yes when you saw those August dates, that's worth listening to.
